When the 2025 floods devastated the people of Buner and Pir Baba, one man once again became their hope. That man was Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), lovingly known as Papa Jani. Without hesitation, he rushed to the affected areas, standing shoulder to shoulder with his people.
Day and night, Papa Jani arranged a 24/7 food dastarkhwan, ensuring that no family slept hungry amidst the devastation. Rescue camps, medical centers, and shelter tents were established under his guidance, providing immediate relief to those who had lost everything.
University students stood with their Papa Jani on the ground, while Pakistan Sweet Home volunteers from across the country united under one banner of humanity. Leaving behind their own comforts, they worked tirelessly to rescue families and deliver aid, proving that PSH is not just an orphanage NGO, but a movement of love, sacrifice, and resilience.
Standing among the survivors, Papa Jani lifted his hands in heartfelt prayer, asking Allah to grant safety, strength, and patience to every soul affected.
His voice trembled as he remembered the children who had lost their parents, their homes, and their sense of security. In that moment, he was not just a leader but a grieving father, carrying the pain of an entire community in his heart and turning it into a prayer of hope and healing.
Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) visited the hospital to personally meet the families of flood victims, sitting with them and listening closely to their stories of pain and loss. He assured them they were not alone in this tragedy. Under his guidance, medical aid was provided to the patients so they could receive proper treatment without delay.
While addressing the media, Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) shared his vision:
“My heart aches for every precious life lost in the 2025 floods. I feel the sorrow of families torn apart, homes swallowed by water, and dreams swept away in an instant. No child should have to face the world alone, and no family should be left to grieve without support.
Every orphan deserves warmth, love, and a safe place to heal, a chance to smile again, despite the darkness around them. I cannot erase their pain, but I can stand with them, holding their hands as we rebuild hope together.”
With a heart that beats for orphaned children, Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) also announced that every child who lost their parents in this flood would become a part of his own family at Pakistan Sweet Home.
More than just words, this was a lifelong promise. He vowed to establish a permanent orphanage center in Buner so these children could grow up in safety and love. The flood may have shaken the land, but through the efforts of Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) and the Pakistan Sweet Home family, it also revealed the unbreakable strength of compassion.
