The day after the world-recognized Islamic Scholar Dr. Zakir Naik arrived in Pakistan, he first met the "angels and fairies" of Pakistan Sweet Home. Zamurrad Khan, the CEO of the organization, invited Dr. Zakir Naik to the Serena Hotel, where the children and Zamurrad Khan warmly welcomed him.
Zamurrad Khan, the beloved Papa Jani of fairies and angels, gave Dr. Zakir a brief introduction to Sweet Home and asked him to share some words of wisdom with our children. First, Dr. Zakir thanked Zamurrad Khan for inviting him and allowing him to address the orphaned children for the first time.
He then inspired our children with the message about the vital role of education in shaping a brighter future and preparing them for success in this world and the hereafter. Our children were also excited and eager to absorb the wisdom of the esteemed Islamic scholar.
Addressing the children, Dr. Naik highlighted the importance of getting religious knowledge. He shared how, in his early years, he believed that the profession of a doctor was the best, as it saves lives. However, after gaining a deeper understanding of the Quran, he realized that calling people to the path of righteousness holds even higher value in Islam.
Citing Surah Fussilat, verse 33, he explained,
“And who is fairer in speech than he who calls to Allah and acts righteously and says: “I am a Muslim”?
Dr Zakir expressed that he was very happy to address the angels and fairies of orphans. He urged our children to recite and reflect on the teachings of the Quran, emphasizing the first verse revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
"Iqra" (Read). (Surah Alaq: 1)
He quoted the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who stated,
"Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim, both male and female."
Dr. Naik emphasizes the importance of education through the Quran and Hadith to instill a sense of responsibility in children, empowering them to seek knowledge that guides them toward righteousness and personal growth.
He also explained the two types of education to our children: Mandatory and Mustahab.

Mandatory Education pertains to religious teachings essential for every Muslim. This type of education helps individuals understand the principles of Islam, including what is considered Halal (permissible) and Haram (forbidden).
Mustahab Education, on the other hand, refers to fields of study and professions that significantly benefit humanity. This includes disciplines such as medicine, engineering, and technology, which not only enable individuals to earn a living but also allow them to contribute positively to society.
The main goal of Dr Zakir’s speech was to guide our children in making wise career choices. He asked them to keep connected to their religious roots while excelling in worldly pursuits. Dr. Zakir Naik concluded his visit with a heartfelt prayer for our angels and fairies. He asked Allah to bless our children with the best in this world and the Hereafter. His message of education, faith, and purpose left a lasting impression on the young minds he addressed.
