What Does Ibn al-Sabil (the Traveler in Need) Refer To?

"Ibn al-Sabil," meaning "the traveler in need," refers to a person who is stranded or facing financial hardship while traveling. 

Even if they are wealthy in their home country, their lack of resources during the journey makes them eligible to receive Zakat (Islamic charity). This term essentially describes a wayfarer who requires assistance to complete their travels.
