Ashar's story
My father Abdul Latif died when I was very small, and my elder brother Waleed has looked after us since then.
He works as an engineer, and there are nine of us at home in Gilgit.
I am fourteen, in class ten, studying science. What I want is to serve in the Armed Forces, InshaAllah.

What is the Cadet program?
The Cadet program supports students enrolled in Pakistan Sweet Home's Cadet College, which combines academic education with structured, military-style cadet training.
Like Boarding Students, cadets have no family home to return to and live on campus full time. Your $99 monthly sponsorship covers their accommodation, cadet college education, and all related expenses.
What does my monthly sponsorship actually pay for?
Your $99 a month covers boarding, cadet college tuition, uniforms, training-related costs, and day-to-day essentials.
The cost is higher than the standard Boarding Student sponsorship because it reflects the structured cadet training and boarding fees charged by the Cadet College itself.
Does the cadet live on campus?
Yes. Cadets reside at the Cadet College for the full duration of their enrollment, the same as Boarding Students at the main PSH campus.
How was this child selected?
Cadets go through the same rigorous selection process used across Pakistan Sweet Home, along with any additional entry requirements set by the Cadet College itself:
- Verified loss of father and Pakistani citizenship
- Assessment of financial need
- Panel interview and, where applicable, the Cadet College's own entry assessment
What facilities are provided?
Dormitories, training facilities, classrooms, a dining hall, and healthcare support are all part of daily life at the Cadet College.
