Since 2011, Ramadan at Pakistan Sweet Home has been a time of contentment and abundant blessings. This year, Ramadan unfolded with a serene atmosphere as the children embraced the spirit of fasting and reflection. As always, special arrangements are made for Suhoor and Iftar daily, ensuring each child experiences the joy of breaking their fast in a warm and welcoming environment.
During each Ashra of Ramadan, the children stay engaged and busy with Iftar and Suhoor gatherings both on campus and outside of it. Some of these events were hosted by generous donors, while others were organized to raise awareness.
The management of Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi graciously organized a special Iftar event, where donors, volunteers, and our children from different campuses came together to partake in a generous feast. This get-together fostered a sense of brotherhood and gratitude as everyone reflected on the blessings of Ramadan.
As the month unfolded, the children eagerly anticipated another memorable event: a special Suhoor gathering collaboratively sponsored by the Serena Hotel Islamabad and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce. The children were treated to a delightful Suhoor spread with traditional dishes and refreshing drinks. The evening was made even more magical with a mesmerizing Qawwali performance by Aziz Mian.
The Second Ashra of Ramadan marked the 12th annual Grand Iftar event, a significant occasion that brought together donors, sponsors, families, Sweet Home staff, volunteers, politicians, and media figures. This event celebrated breaking the fast and served as a platform to showcase Pakistan Sweet Home's transformative impact throughout all these years. The success stories of children, now engineers, doctors, and lawyers, were a testament to the organization's nurturing environment.
Each day, the dedicated staff at Pakistan Sweet Home ensures special arrangements are in place for Iftar and Suhoor for the children across all our campuses. We have specially hired catering services and created a unique ambiance to ensure the children have a unique experience during Iftar and Suhoor despite being away from their families during this sacred month.
In the last Ashra of Ramadan, a Khatam al-Quran was held, during which all the children came together to recite the Quran, fostering a deep connection with their faith. This sacred event added a profound spiritual dimension to the Ramadan festivities, nurturing the spiritual growth of our children.
As Ramadan drew to a close, the children returned to their homes on 2nd April for Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Zamurrad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) organized a special pre-Eid party to bid farewell to our fairies and angels. The children were delighted with a dedicated setup offering bangles, mehndi, and various toys for Eid al-Fitr.
In addition to the festivities, we ensured that each child received Rashan bags and Eidi to take home, filling their Eid celebrations with joy and sweetness. The children left Pakistan Sweet Home with hearts full of memories to cherish, grateful for the love and care they received during Ramadan and beyond.

“My angels and fairies celebrate Ramadan much as any regular child does with their families and parents. We've created a home-like space at Sweet Home, where these children live like siblings, have Iftar and Suhoor, and are spiritually guided by mother-like staff and teachers. As the children leave for their homes for the Eid holidays, I will dearly miss them. Pakistan Sweet Home is nothing without them!”
